PBIS Significant Cognitive Disabilities

REACH MS began its SCD PBIS initiative with its 2016-2021 round of funding. The goals of this initiative are to support the inclusion of students with significant disabilities in the general education classrooms, increase the number of students with significant disabilities who meet their behavioral goals, and decrease the number of students with significant who need targeted behavioral supports. The first SCD cohort was in the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 school years, consisting of three school districts. These school districts received technical assistance and training during the two year span. The second SCD cohort will provide support to additional districts in the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years. REACH MS also provides significant disability regional training, hosts a monthly online Community of Practice meeting, and fulfills limited requested supports at no cost for interested school districts.
