Early Childhood State Leadership Team (SLT)
When REACH MS added early childhood as one of its initiatives under the PBIS focus in 2016, the Pyramid Model was chosen as the “method” of early childhood PBIS implementation. In 2017, Mississippi’s first state leadership team was convened. Since 2017, Mississippi has been the recipient of multiple technical assistance endeavors from the federally-funded National Center on Pyramid Model Innovations (NCPMI).Through the work of the SLT, Pyramid Model implementation in Mississippi has expanded to include childcare. Mississippi’s SLT meets bi-monthly and is the driving force behind statewide implementation of the Pyramid Model.
